Let Loose, the British pop/rock band of the 90’s are delighted to be playing Manchester Academy as the 2nd date in their UK tour. They played a sell out gig at London’s 93 Feet East on March 17 2011. With two of the original trio back together. Richie Wermerling is on lead vocals and keyboards & Lee Murray on drums, backing vocals and percussion. With new band members in place, the duo have been busy recording a new album and have a number of new tracks to be released.

Let Loose shot to fame and chart topping success with the single ‘Crazy for you’, which spent 21 weeks in the charts, only being kept off the number 1 spot by Wet Wet Wet’s ‘Love is all around’. They had a further 4 top 20 singles, ‘Seventeen’, ‘One night stand’, ‘Best in me’, and ‘Make it with you’. Their debut album ‘Let Loose’, also made the top 20 and went gold.

Richie continued his career as a singer/songwriter and producer, writing and producing the chart hits for PJ & Duncan aka Ant & Dec, such as ‘Tonight I’m free’, ‘Girlfriend’ and ‘Perfect’. He also achieved critical acclaim as the keyboardist in the band Bottlefly, where he co-wrote and produced the band’s album ‘Bottlefly’, where a number of tracks were used in major film and TV productions.

Lee undertook a career in entertainment management working with celebrities such as Ronan Keating, Cyndi Lauper, Lisa Stansfield, Kelly Brook, Westlife and Holly Valance.

The Let Loose fan base has remained strong and the band are back to recreate the magic of their previous Let Loose live performances.
