Middle Finger Salute have been fortunate enough to be part of the Vans Warped Tour in the USA in 2009 and 2010, and also SXSW 2010 in the US.
Having supported names such as Rancid, Misfits, Stiff Little Fingers, The Briggs, The Blackout, Buzzcocks and many more across the UK and Europe as well as playing festivals across Europe too.
Middle Finger Salute was formed in the run down mill town of Blackburn, Lancashire.
Having made their name in the underground UK punk scene, playing with their heroes from the past the band gained a name for themselves gaining slots on the major dates in the punk calendar, earning tours and gigs with bands such as Cock Sparrer, Buzzcocks, Stiff Little Fingers and more, during this period the sound matured and further opportunities were presented.
Still in their mid teens, the band were invited to support Rancid. After playing with Rancid life took a turn and the band were invited to play on the Vans Warped Tour in 2009, alongside bands such as Nofx, Bad Religion, Less than Jake and Anti-Flag.
This helped the band gain confidence, and learn their craft and develop their sound, this opportunity led to a string of UK dates with The Blackout, a tour with The Briggs, 4 showcases at SXSW in 2010 and an invite back onto the Vans Warped Tour for 2010.
In 2010 the band recorded the EP “We Are The Sleepless” featuring Justin Sane from Anti-Flag, and sold the EP, which was well received, on their time at the Vans Warped Tour!
