The Drills are a hard hitting rock trio from Los Angeles fronted by the guitar wielding powerhouse that is Phil X. As LA’s top rock session guitarist, Phil is called upon to work with the likes of Chris Cornell, Tommy Lee, Rob Zombie, Chris Daughtry and Alice Cooper to name but a few.

When Bon Jovi needed a replacement for Richie Sambora for a tour in 2011 they came to Phil X.

The Drills emerge as a refreshing change to the cluster of bubblegum punk, rap rock and i’m-so-depressed-i-can-hardly-spend-my-money bands and prefer an approach that you can smash balls to: loud, live, abrasive, in-your-face rock n’ roll!!

Dorje fuses the world of progressive rock and earthy blues into a fiery furnace of soaring riffs & powerful vocal melodies. Likened to Karnivool meets Soundgarden, the growly rock/blues vocals hover hauntingly over the tight, focused rhythms and twin duelling lead guitars.

Fronted by Youtube Guitar Guru Rob “The Monkey Lord” Chapman, Dorje has quickly risen to success and gathered support and recognition from the likes of Jimi Hendrix/Led Zeppelin Producer Eddie Kramer who describes Dorje as “F??king brilliant!”
