Get Cubs are a fresh upbeat indie band from the Midlands.
After forming early 2012, they quickly released their debut album ‘To The Mountains’. Fan favourite ‘Delilah’ was Radio 1’s track of the week during Christmas 2012, featured on 2 of Huw Stephens podcasts and session on live BBC radio. The track was later play listed on Radio 1 receiving daytime airplay every day. Other fan favourites receiving BBC airplay were ‘Manana’, ‘Cinnamon Girl’ and ‘Plastic Parade’.
An extensive UK tour followed through April/May 2013. During this time the band released a fourtrack
offering titled “Canada”. After a Summer filled with storming festival set along side artists such as ”The Cribs”, “The View”, “Wiley , “Lucy Rose”, Pigeon Detectives, The Enemy, and “JLS”. The band then went on to play their first arena show in October at London Earls Court to a crowd
of 10,000 people.
The Cubs are set to hit the ground running in 2014, ushering in the New Year with a new EP “Brazilian Housewives”. The release contains 5 tracks that perfectly showcase the evolution of “Get Cubs”.
