In Motion is the second single release from the Electro-pop band after their hugely successful debut single Marco Polo’ was released in 2016. Marco Polo caught the attention of the likes of BBC Radio 6 and BBC Introducing, as well as Spotify, who added them to a major playlist in the autumn of 2016. Having started as a Duo in 2015 and doing their first UK & Ireland tour, Reuben Hester and Chloë Bebbington went onto busk around Europe for a year. Returning to the UK they felt inspired and compelled to evolve their sound. In came guitarist and producer Jack Candela and Keys / synth player and Producer Danny Marland this was the perfect addition needed to finalise the current line-up of China Lane. Creating a mementos buzz the band’s Similarities have been mentioned to the likes of Empire of The Sun, Chvrches and The 1975 with a ‘retro edge’ being compared to legendry Manchester bands including New order, Electronic and The Pet Shop boys.

2016 saw China Lane being asked to support British synth legends, Heaven 17 as well as receiving the invite only request to perform at the ‘Sofar Sessions’ in Manchester. December 2016 was ended with an ‘electric’ performance for their first headline show at Gulliver’s Manchester which sold out weeks prior to the event.
